Wellbeing Mentor – Term Time (Fixed Term Contract to 30 June 2026)

Grŵp Llandrillo Meai is piloting a new role called Wellbeing Mentors to support learners. The role will provide professional wellbeing support: emotional, physical and sexual welfare information, advice and guidance. You will work closely with Learner Services, personal tutors, tutors, the Programme Area Student Coach and external agencies to support learners at risk of disengaging and withdrawing from their studies.

  • Salary: £22,556.43 – £23,051.07 per annum
  • Place of work:
    Bangor, Pwllheli
  • Holiday entitlement: 28 days leave per annum, rising to 32 days after 5 continuous years of holiday service (01 September to 31 August). All normally observed public holidays, determined annually. Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually. Term Time contracts receive a pro‑rata entitlement as part of annual salary.
  • Working pattern: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Key responsibilities: Support learners with wellbeing, provide emotional, physical, and sexual welfare advice, collaborate with staff and external agencies, and support learners at risk of disengagement or withdrawal.

Qualifications and experience: Relevant experience in wellbeing support or a related field, strong communication skills, ability to collaborate across third‑sector institutions, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
