Position Overview Denroy Limited is seeking a motivated Graduate Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to begin their career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, gaining practical experience in process improvement, production support, quality, safety and new product introduction. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams while developing the technical and professional skills needed to grow within Denroy.
Key Responsibilities Support the development, improvement and implementation of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality and safety. Assist with continuous improvement projects across production areas, including waste reduction, cycle time improvement and workplace organisation. Work with production, quality, design and engineering teams to help investigate and resolve manufacturing and technical issues. Support new product introduction activity, including manufacturing readiness, process documentation, tooling requirements and trial builds.
Assist with data collection and analysis to identify trends, root causes of defects and opportunities for corrective action. Prepare and maintain work instructions, process documents, technical reports and project updates. Take part in lean manufacturing, 5S and problem-solving activities to support operational excellence. Support the installation, commissioning and validation of equipment, tooling and manufacturing improvements where required. Develop knowledge of Denroys manufacturing processes, quality standards, health and safety requirements and industry best practice.
Required
Skills and Qualifications Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering or a related engineering discipline. For HNC/HND qualifications min of 2 year working in a manufacturing environment A strong interest in manufacturing, process improvement, plastics, automation and engineering problem solving.
Good analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret and present information clearly. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues across production, quality and engineering. Proactive, organised and willing to learn, with a practical approach to solving problems in a manufacturing environment. Desirable Attributes Placement year, internship or project experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
Awareness of plastics injection moulding, assembly processes, lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tools. Familiarity with CAD, data analysis, Microsoft Office or manufacturing systems would be advantageous. Enthusiasm to develop a career in manufacturing engineering within a growing local business.
