Location: Bangor

Live-In Housekeeper – Private Residence, Jersey ASAP Start | £35,000–£40,000 Gross per Annum | Monday–Friday

We are seeking an experienced, reliable and self‑motivated Live‑in Housekeeper for a private residence in Jersey. This is a long‑term position offering accommodation and the opportunity to take full ownership of a well‑maintained property that is not a full‑time residence.

The role is for a candidate who is confident working autonomously, highly organised and takes genuine pride in maintaining a property to a consistently high standard.

Accommodation

A self‑contained one‑bedroom granny flat is provided: bedroom, bathroom, small living and kitchen area.

Working Pattern
  • 40 hours per week, generally Monday to Friday
  • Some flexibility required when the principal is in residence, with time off given in lieu where appropriate
Key Responsibilities
  • Full housekeeping duties, maintaining the property to a high standard at all times
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Managing the property when the principal is not in residence
  • Light gardening and grounds maintenance, including:
    • Lawn mowing
    • Maintaining flower beds (including sweet peas)
    • Ideally some interest in planting, managing and maintaining a vegetable garden
  • Overseeing general household maintenance and liaising with contractors
  • Trickle charging
  • Cleaning and routine checks
  • Ensuring vehicles are ready for use when required
  • Ensuring household systems are running smoothly (general checks, utilities, readiness)
  • Preparing some meals when required (not a daily expectation)
Light Administrative / PA Support (Occasional)
  • Ad‑hoc administrative support to the principal
  • Meeting contractors and tradespeople
  • Assisting with small tasks relating to the principal’s property business
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience as a housekeeper in a private household
  • Confident working independently and managing a property end‑to‑end
  • Practical, hands‑on and highly organised
  • Trustworthy, discreet and proactive
  • For right to work purposes we can only consider candidates with a UK or Irish passport
  • Happy to live on‑site as a single occupant
