Administrative/Clerical
Our Temporary Staffing Administrator role is not a typical admin job. It's something a bit different and we are looking for a special person who can not only do the job but who will thrive in it.
This role is full time office position based at Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital.
The purpose of the role is:
- Coordinate induction and training for all staff groups (except Medical) both new starters and existing staff, to ensure staff have the knowledge, skills and training to work on the bank.
- Assist in all staff groups (except Medical) providing comprehensive, effective and efficient Temporary Staffing services for BCUHB.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;
Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The fast pace - Much of our work is time sensitive and priorities are constantly changing and you will need to adapt quickly moving between tasks. You will be busy and need to manage your time but we never have a problem with time moving slowly!
The variety - It's not just recruiting workers for the bank, you will also be involved in a wide variety of other tasks such as setting up training and shadow shifts, monitoring training compliance, maintaining electronic files, verifying information for payroll, supporting bank and agency workers, working with different systems, preparing reports, supporting recruitment and career events and answering queries by phone/email/face to face.
No two days are ever the same.
Teamwork - While you will have your own workload and responsibilities you will work as part of not just the local Temporary Staffing team, but also supported by and in support of the other Temporary Staffing Teams across BCUHB, and the People Services teams which include Recruitment, E-Rostering and HR. Combined with the Compassionate Leadership culture and you have an environment where people can develop and thrive.
Jobresponsibilities
The people - This is a truly customer facing role and our definition of customer extends to include job applicants, bank workers, agencies and their workers, other service departments like Payroll and Systems, our clinical colleagues, schools and universities and various other social organisations and programs to name a few. You will be interacting with a diverse range of people to build strong working relationships that make everything smoother and more efficient.
Making a difference - Of course the big one is that you will be helping to ensure BCUHB maintains safe staffing levels for patients and reducing risks that could keep BCUHB from offering the lifesaving services it does, but it goes beyond that. You will be helping people with getting in to work, earning extra money to support their families, and getting paid correctly and on time for example, all things that can be life changing for people.
Qualifications- Keyboard skills to RSA 3 or Equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent experience
- ECDL
- Experience of working in a busy office setting and handling telephone inquiries on a daily basis
- Experience of providing support to more junior colleagues within the team
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or a nurse bank office
- Experience of co-ordinating training and development packages
