Data Protection Consultant — Fully remote/Hybrid — £55,000-£65,000 plus flexible working hours
Are you a Data protection Consultant or Data privacy lawyer who is looking for flexibility in your working life? This boutique consultancy based in Ireland is looking for a new Data protection Consultant to join their ‘DPO as a Service offering’. You will be acting as a consultant DP advisor for a variety of household name clients, working across all aspects of data protection from training to internal audits, report writing/presenting and implementing recommendations.
This is a client facing role and is a strategic hire for the company, offering autonomy and a high level of responsibility and reward for the right individual. The company are in a key stage of growth and as such, there are potential progression pathways open to those who contribute to that growth at the earliest possible stage. You will have the ability to work fully remote but within a supportive and collaborative remote team under the direction of highly experienced experts in Data Privacy matters.
Above all, our client is looking for someone who has both a solid legal understanding of data protection as well as being able to apply pragmatic and commercial advice to clients. This is not a compliance based audit and checklist type of role. Rather it is for a trusted advisor to manage and lead multiple high level client companies through their entire DP processes.
- 3+ years specialising in data protection, ideally in the consulting space or in an outsourced Data protection role.
- Expert knowledge of GDPR, DPA 2018, FCA regulations and ideally international privacy laws such as CCPA (not essential).
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills - supporting stakeholders in managing data privacy risks, liaising with clients and third parties as needed.
- Independent and able to work efficiently from home.
- Maintaining records, including ICO registration, data processing records.
- Experienced working with DSARs, DPIAs, audits, RoPA, data breaches, and international data transfers as well as being able to draft advice notes and provide commercial not just compliance based advice.
- Take ownership of projects and service delivery areas for key clients.
