Bangor University’s North Wales Medical School is excited to announce an opening for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice/Clinical Pharmacy. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of our upcoming MPharm degree programme, launching in September 2025. The position is available as either a teaching-focused (T&S) or research-focused (T&R) role, depending on your experience and career aspirations.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Collaborate on the creation and implementation of our MPharm curriculum, working closely with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) to ensure alignment with professional standards.
- Experiential Learning: Develop and oversee placement activities in partnership with the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and Health Education and Improvement Wales.
- Teaching & Research: Depending on your appointed route, you will either focus on delivering high-quality teaching in pharmacy practice and clinical pharmacy or engage in cutting-edge research in areas such as medicines use and optimisation, personalised medicine, pharmaceutical economics, and prescribing policy.
- GPhC Registration: You must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in UK pharmacy practice, either through direct clinical work or extensive academic involvement.

Skills:
Experience in independent prescribing and working with professional bodies on curriculum development is highly desirable.
This full-time, permanent role is based on campus in Bangor, with potential for remote working under Bangor University’s Dynamic Working framework. We are open to applications for part-time or job-share arrangements.
