Position: Children and Young People's Skills Mentor (PRU)
Location: Bangor

We are looking to recruit a Children and Young People's Skills Mentor to join the Pupil Referral Unit in Ceredigion on a full-time basis. This is an exciting role within the service providing the opportunity to work with young people from the community and improve their educational outcomes within a bespoke and person‑centred educational setting.

Responsibilities
  • create and coordinate educational and wellbeing support that meet the Additional Learning Needs of our pupils
  • ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all pupils who attend the unit
  • provide high quality pastoral care by coordinating programs and interventions
  • create an inclusive, comfortable and happy school environment to ensure improvements in learner engagement and wellbeing
  • work as part of a team to ensure effective daily provision within the unit
