Term‑time only, 28.75 hours per week (teaching assistant) + 2.5 hours per week (midday assistant)

Hours: 8:45am‑3.30pm

Local Government Pay Scale Band 4, Pt 8‑9

We are looking for a caring, patient, nurturing and committed Teaching Assistant to join our staff. You must have experience of working with children in a classroom setting in both EYFS and KS1.

This post will be based in EYFS for the rest of this academic year, and then will be in either EYFS or KS1 moving forward.

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • Provide vital classroom support and contribute to an engaging learning environment.
  • Support and promote children's learning through play, exploration, and structured activities.
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Curriculum.
  • Be committed to supporting pupils to achieve their potential.
  • Support teachers in delivering outstanding lessons and creating positive outcomes.
  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups.
  • Help maintain a happy and safe playground during break and lunch times.
  • Demonstrate high expectations for the children.
  • Show commitment to work with and support parents in promoting their children's learning.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to school improvement.
  • Be confident using a laptop.
  • Understand how to use assessment to inform next steps.
