Job Overview
WSP invites an enthusiastic individual to join our growing Engagement team within the Land, Instructure Planning & Engagement unit. The role focuses on public consultation, stakeholder engagement, and the delivery of engaging communications on large infrastructure projects across the water, health, energy and environmental sectors.
Responsibilities- Develop clear, accessible communications to help communities understand project impacts.
- Organise events, publish materials, run surveys and provide feedback channels for stakeholders.
- Analyse engagement data, present themes and key issues in reports that inform responsible project development.
- Support UK and international clients with advice and activities such as virtual consultation rooms, posters, banners, public maps and community engagement events.
- Degree‑qualified or relevant experience in a related field; membership of relevant professional or trade body desirable.
- Experience in road, rail, utilities, water, environment or energy sectors.
- Demonstrated experience leading engagement processes across multidisciplinary projects, including drafting strategies, conducting consultations, providing data coding and analysis, and legislative report writing.
- Line management experience or management of junior team members through project delivery.
- Strong team player with an enthusiastic, motivated attitude.
- Structured, flexible approach to task delivery in a fast‑changing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and capacity to manage a varied workload.
- Great writing skills with a keen eye for detail; ability to work autonomously.
- Demonstrable communication or engagement experience.
