We are hiring for our client, a specialist manufacturer supporting the construction sector, for a Design Engineer / CAD Technician to join their growing team in Bangor. This Design Engineer / CAD Technician job offers an excellent opportunity to work on precision‑engineered products used by Tier 1 contractors across the UK and Ireland. The successful Design Engineer / CAD Technician will gain hands‑on experience from design through to fabrication, making this an ideal role for a graduate or early‑career professional looking to develop within a niche and high‑demand sector.

• Produce detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD and/or Solid Works
• Support the design process from concept through to fabrication
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure design accuracy and efficiency
• Assist with product development and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure all drawings meet industry and manufacturing standards

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or Product Design
• 1+ years’ experience using AutoCAD or Solid Works (graduates considered)
• Understanding of technical drawing and fabrication processes
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Keen to develop within a specialist engineering environment
