Sonographer Band 7

Overview

Mediplacements are currently recruiting for an experienced Sonographer to fill a locum position in Bangor and Wrexham. Our client is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration. The position offers a pay rate of GBP
30 : GBP
40 per hour.

The sonographer will be independently responsible for carrying out and reporting on specialised ultrasound examinations to a high standard and in a professional manner, working to departmental guidelines whilst being accountable for their own actions. You will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. You will work with a team of healthcare professionals to perform ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.

You will review and interpret images, and communicate findings to other healthcare professionals, ensuring all imaging is performed in a safe and professional manner.

• Excellent clinical skills, experience and a post graduate ultrasound qualification are essential.
• Experience across a wide range of examinations including general abdominal, gynaecological, obstetrics and DVT is essential.
• Small parts and/or MSK experience would be an advantage.
• Must hold a PG Dip in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent, awarded from a CASE accredited UK University.
• Registration with HCPC is essential.
• The successful candidate must be HCPC registered and hold a post-graduate certificate or diploma in medical or clinical ultrasound.

Locations:
Bangor and Wrexham. Applicants shortlisted will be required to attend an on-site face-to-face interview.
