Legal is moving from founder-led, external support to a formal, scalable, in-house capability
. This role will institutionalise how legal is done, shifting from reactive advice to repeatable, system-driven legal support that enables growth while maintaining strong governance and compliance.

This is a foundational hire for someone who wants to build the legal operating model that supports enterprise customers, complex counter parties, and international expansion.

• Scaling complex commercial activity across multiple counter parties and structures
• Expanding into the US market, requiring enterprise-grade legal discipline and compliance
• Transitioning from ad-hoc legal support to clear frameworks, playbooks, and decision-making pathways

You will:

• Act as the primary legal advisor across the business, owning legal matters end-to-end
• Design and implement scalable legal frameworks, templates, and contracting pathways
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements across customers, partners, suppliers, and generators
• Advise on regulatory and compliance matters in a highly regulated environment
• Support corporate, governance, and shareholder matters, including fundraising and board processes
• Partner closely with senior leaders to translate strategy into clear legal execution
• Enable multi-market expansion, starting with the US, ensuring compliant and commercially sound execution
• Manage and optimise external counsel relationships where specialist input is required
