Working Hours: Part-Time – 1,000 Hours Minimum per Annum
The Caledonian Cheese Company in Stranraer, part of Lactalis UK & Ireland, now has opportunities for a part-time Cheese Operator to work as part of the team making our award-winning, quality cheeses.
You will be based within our cheese production process and will be responsible for machine/process operations including health & safety, quality and food hygiene for your area. Candidates will be highly motivated, preferably with some experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the food industry. Additionally, exposure to a continuous improvement/lean environment would be a distinct advantage. You will be able to work effectively on your own initiative as well as being part of a team.
Attention to detail and good timekeeping are essential.
The job requires some shift work which attracts a premium rate. Full training will be provided with the opportunity to progress. Minimum guaranteed hours are 1,000 per annum. Additional hours may be provided up to full-time hours (1785) however this cannot be guaranteed.
£13.04 per hour + shift premium as appropriate and holidays, additional benefits are contributory salary sacrifice pension, life insurance, discretionary annual performance bonus and discounted company product.
