The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred care while working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. Flexible shifts are available including days, nights, weekends, and long days to suit individual availability.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities Deliver safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs. Administer medications and treatments in line with NMC guidelines and hospital policies. Monitor patient conditions and escalate concerns appropriately. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation. Support infection prevention and control standards at all times. Patient Care Provide compassionate care while promoting dignity, privacy, and respect.
Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, carers, and healthcare professionals. Support patients with their physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing. Promote patient independence and recovery where appropriate. Team Working Work collaboratively with doctors, healthcare assistants, and multidisciplinary teams. Participate in ward handovers, clinical discussions, and care planning. Support junior staff and students when required. Compliance & Professional Standards Adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct and hospital policies.
Maintain safeguarding awareness and escalate concerns appropriately. Participate in mandatory training and continuing professional development. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety policies and procedures. Person Specification Essential Requirements Valid NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN). Minimum 6 months UK nursing experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a busy clinical environment. Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.
Flexible approach to working patterns and shift availability. Desirable Previous NHS experience.
Experience with in acute hospital settings. Knowledge of electronic patient record systems.
