Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, a regional tertiary care center and ACS-verified Level II trauma center, is seeking a trauma and acute care surgeon to join our team. Candidates must be BC/BE in general surgery and surgical critical care.

• Join a group of 7 surgeons and 7 APPs providing 24/7 trauma, critical care, and emergency general surgery coverage.
• Schedule includes a mix of 8, 16, and 24-hour shifts (including weekends), with about five night shifts per month and a weekend rotation.
• The group also functions as intensivists for all surgical patients.
• Approximately 25% of practice involves elective surgeries, based on community referrals and ER cases.
