Overview
Diagnostic Radiologist with Neuroradiology fellowship – Spectrum Healthcare Partners is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologist with Neuroradiology fellowship training. The successful candidate will have strong general radiology skills and basic interventional skills; this is primarily a general radiology position with a focus on neuroradiology. You will join our established group of 18 radiologists to provide primary coverage at hospitals serving Eastern & Coastal Maine communities.
With recent and upcoming new sites of coverage, we aim to expand our group over the next year.
Along with a generous compensation and benefits package, this full-time position offers a two-year to partnership track opportunity and very reasonable call expectations. All new associates enjoy 10 weeks of vacation per year, increasing to 12 weeks/year for all partners, with opportunities for up to 16 weeks/year or more as schedules allow.
Our group operates on a fair and equitable work model, with near equal division of labor and benefits between all partners and associates; we do not believe in overburdening newer members. We do not track RVUs or individual productivity, as we believe it is not to the benefit of patients and can create an overly competitive environment. We value collegiality, work ethic, collaboration, and a reasonable work/life balance.
PracticeWe are the dominant group in the region with minimal competition and many opportunities for expansion. We serve a variety of hospitals, from our largest hospital, Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC), which recently underwent a $300 million expansion and serves as the primary referral center in the region with 411 beds, to smaller regional hospitals. EMMC is the regional tertiary referral center for neurology and neurosurgery with expertise in neuro-oncology, spine surgery, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and neurodegenerative disorders.
EMMC is a certified Primary Stroke Center with stroke neurology and neuro-interventional services available 24/7 for acute stroke care, clot retrieval, and other endovascular procedures. Our neuroradiologists are highly valued by consulting neurologists and neurosurgeons with whom we maintain a close working relationship.
