Job DescriptionAssists in organizing, conducting, and supervising recreation and leisure time activities for students.
- Assists in planning and promoting all activities so students can make choices as to how to use leisure time for students.
- Promotes and engages student participation in Community Service.
- Ensures safe transport of students occurs timely.
- Assists in ensuring events are available; ensures adequate equipment, supplies, or other resources for successful events.
- Assists in maintaining active communication with other community and governmental sources including Fine Arts, Theater, Choral, Drama, Sports, Education and Training, Community Colleges, and volunteer organizations; contacts are reported weekly.
- Ensures receipts/unused funds are returned to account fully for amount received.
- Accounts for monetary expenditures by submitting all necessary student excursion sheets, appropriate receipts, and unused funds.
- Assists in ensuring programs stay within funding limits.
- Enforces all procedures regarding property/equipment.
- Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
- Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
- Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
- Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
- Attends all required staff training opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with one year of related experience working with youth required.
- A valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
