This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. The schedule includes 30 hours as an Early Childhood BHP, Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.
-2:00 p.m. during school hours, and an additional 10 hours as a regular BHP during afternoon/evening hours.

Compensation
The rate of pay for this position is $17.89-$23.26 per hour. Starting Pay is $17.89-$20.58 per hour and is negotiable based on experience, internal equity and active certifications.

Penquis Adaptive Behavior Services seeks caring and dedicated Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs) to provide one-on-one support to children receiving Section 28 Adaptive Behavior Services within local Head Start classrooms. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a child's journey while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment alongside families and other early childhood professionals.
Experience working with children is preferred, but a caring attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to supporting children are equally important.
Hours:
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. The schedule includes 30 hours as an Early Childhood BHP, Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.

- Help children development social, communication, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.
- Encourage participation in classroom routines, activities, and peer interactions.
- Support children in achieving individualized goals through play, learning, and everyday experiences.
- Collaborate with families and educators to promote each child’s success.
- Celebrate small victories that led to meaningful lifelong growth.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Kind, patient, and enthusiastic about working with children.
- Dependable and able to work independently within a classroom setting.
- Passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
- Strong communicator and enjoy collaboration and teamwork!
- Valid driver’s license in good standing with reliable transportation and automobile insurance.
- Interested in child development, education, behavioral health, social services, or related fields.
- Upon hire and periodically thereafter, you must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.
