Manufacturing Engineering and Industrialization Leader

Bangor, ME. Salary: $122,600 – $204,400 plus discretionary bonus and geographic differential.

Join us as the Manufacturing Engineering and Industrialization Leader to lead a strategic engineering team that brings Gas & Steam Turbine Rotor/Stator Component manufacturing processes from concept to operational stability using lean manufacturing principles.

What You’ll Do
  • Define manufacturing engineering strategy for the Bangor Plant.
  • Own development for product and process implementation.
  • Hire and develop talent, managing over 20 professional employees.
  • Utilize machining and CNC knowledge to execute policy/strategy and roadmap initiatives.
  • Serve as focal point for new product introductions, part and technology transfers, and strategic investments.
  • Manage project timelines, focusing on safety, process capability, and qualifications.
  • Create, standardize, and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Lead productivity efforts across the site for cost competitiveness.
  • Incorporate lean manufacturing principles into process development.
  • Use kaizen activities for continuous improvement and collaborate with the Advanced Manufacturing team.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to align priorities and drive customer outcomes while maximizing business results.
  • Work with customers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet organizational requirements.
  • Resolve technical challenges, implement simplification efforts, and drive product cost.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to team members, build trusting relationships, and be a motivator.
  • Ensure communication of key business/customer issues to employees.
  • Interface with other organizations and vendors to assure requirements are met on time.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Minimum eight years of Production Process and Equipment experience.
Additional Requirements
  • Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
  • On‑site role at GE Gas Power Bangor, ME.
  • Relocation assistance only for candidates within the USA.
