Consult CPK Ltd is seeking a Health & Safety Technician to support our health & safety consultants and promote safe working environments. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop a career in health and safety, with full training provided.
Responsibilities- Support assessment of workplace conditions, equipment, and operational practices.
- Assist in verifying safe and correct use of equipment.
- Help compile technical reports based on observations and sample data.
- Contribute insights to improve safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure office workstations are ergonomically safe and comfortable.
- Promote a positive safety culture among clients and internal teams.
- Assist in delivering safety training to employees and management.
- Identify potential hazards and risks proactively.
- Support incident investigations and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with UK legislation and local safety regulations.
- Participate in safety audits to monitor and improve performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good grammar.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Willingness to travel across Northern Ireland and Ireland with consultants.
- Full driving licence required for future travel to client sites.
- No prior qualifications or experience in Health & Safety are required – full training will be provided.
- Previous experience in a safety related role is a plus but not essential.
Standard work hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/reduced hours may be available. Additional hours may be offered depending on availability.
