We are seeking a friendly, customer service focused Houseperson to join our team at Holiday Inn Bangor . This is a Part Time position located in Bangor, ME In this position you will be responsible for the cleanliness of the hotel and grounds, moving furniture, and interacting with guests.

As a houseperson, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of the entire hotel to create a memorable and unique experience for our guests.

• Provide basic housekeeping duties for all public spaces including vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
• Report and return any guest properties that were left behind
• Report cases of property damage to supervisor
• Work with a team of housekeepers on each shift
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
• Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest needs
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

• High school education or equivalent experience
• Previous houseperson experience preferred, but not required
• Continuous standing 90% of time
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. limited
• Pushing up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work independently
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• Hours required: 4-28 hour shift; scheduled days and times may vary based on need

• Previous customer facing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Second language is a plus

$16.50 Hourly
