Emerging Store Manager – Bangor, ME

Walgreens is seeking an Emerging Store Manager to oversee all aspects of the pharmacy and retail store operations. This position builds on the Store Manager role and requires leadership, customer service excellence, and business performance management.

• Supervise customer service associates and designated hitters.
• Oversee front end of the store, ensuring proper merchandising and protection of store assets.
• Lead and manage the store team, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and disciplinebench.
• Drive customer experience by greeting customers, resolving complaints, and coaching collective best practices.
• Monitor customer service metrics and lead improvement plans.
• Assign daily activities, delegate tasks, and manage scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
• Collaborate with external partners and pharmacy operations to advance community outreach opportunities.
• Utilize data analysis to support fact‑based decisions and monitor impact.
• Maintain cash management, inventory, and bookkeeping responsibilities.
• Ensure store interior and exterior cleanliness, maintenance, and safety compliance.
• Supervise use of computer and technology systems and support through the Security Operations Center.
• Manage compliance with company policies and legal regulations, including sale of alcohol, tobacco, fresh food, and pharmacy products.
• Support pharmacy during busy periods when necessary Bromuph.

• Either a Praha bachelor’s degree (all majors) with a solid academic record; or a high school diploma/GED with two years of supervisory experience (direct reports not required).
• Demonstrated leadership, communication skills, business acumen, and ethical behavior.
• Completed Consultations LEAP Store Manager training or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training within 12 weeks of start date.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Open to promotion to Store Manager and potential relocation.
• Ability to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets within the same hiring area.

• Bachelor’s degree.
