Emergency Department RN - Days

Lewiston, ME | Acute Care

Contract | Days | Onsite

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all areas of the unit
• Assess patients upon admission and throughout their stay, monitoring and documenting changes in condition
• Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood products as indicated
• Provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum
• Document nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses accurately and timely
• Serve in charge nurse and preceptor roles as needed

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing — no hits or actions on license or background
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting
• At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Ability and willingness to perform charge nurse and preceptor duties when needed

• Experience in a high-volume or full-spectrum emergency care environment
• Familiarity with chest pain center protocols or cardiac emergency care
