Qualified Teacher Required in SEN School for Autistic Children in Surrey

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Teacher to become part of a committed team in a Special School in Tadworth, Surrey. This position is paid to scale and demands experience with Autistic Children and managing severe challenging behaviour.

Role Overview

As a Teacher, you will be instrumental in crafting meaningful learning experiences for these pupils. Your skills in supporting and guiding children with special needs and challenging behaviour will be essential in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and inspire pupils, creating a supportive and encouraging educational setting.
  • Implement high-quality teaching and learning practices tailored to the needs of pupils with special needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members to offer comprehensive pupil support.
  • Set and uphold high expectations for all pupils, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to achieve their potential.

  • An outstanding practitioner with high expectations for all pupils.
  • Passionate about child‑centred education.
  • Strong in organisational and communication skills, and enjoys working within a team.
  • Ideally, experienced in working with young people who have SEMH and challenging behaviour.
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive environment and ensuring equal opportunities for all pupils.
Criteria for the Role
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching and supporting pupils with special needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A solid educational background across various subjects.
  • Familiarity with the national curriculum and relevant learning programs.
  • Understanding of relevant policies, codes of practice, and legislation.
