Purpose

Find a highly energetic, positive leader to lead, manage, and deliver overall business results for the pultrusion operating plant. Manage complex operations teams, oversee safety and AMS functions, and ensure operations align with Andersen's values and strategic direction.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations of complex and/or multiple operational areas in the pultrusion plant, including Main Plant, Safety, AMS, Materials, Shipping, Storage and Distribution, and Office Staff.
  • Act as liaison to coordinate and manage the distribution process.
  • Forge and build relationships with Corporate Partners and collaborate with the Baraboo, WI pultrusion facility.
  • Manage Managers/Supervisors to ensure team coverage and leadership during all shifts.
  • Deliver agreed results in safety, environmental compliance, quality, customer service, cost, and associate satisfaction/development.
  • Define and communicate performance targets and implement process improvement initiatives aligned with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Establish an environment conducive to high morale, associate satisfaction, and performance.
  • Deliver performance to budget using a participative budgeting approach.
  • Ensure alignment of activities and resources within the Pultrusion operations functional areas.
  • Acquire appropriate people, technology, equipment, and financial resources to meet customer expectations and implement business improvement plans.
  • Participate in supplier negotiations regarding prices, quality, and customer service.
  • Promote active, hands‑on management to solve problems and foster high involvement problem solving.
  • Establish visual management techniques and mentor developing Managers, Superintendents, and Supervisors.
  • Use company data and information, control procedures, and work schedules to manage business results.
  • Maintain good employee relations by applying policies and procedures fairly and uniformly.
  • Support continuous personal growth and development as a role model for continuous learning.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Establish positive community relations through involvement in community organizations.
Qualifications
  • 4‑year degree or equivalent.
  • 8‑10 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of world‑class Lean, Safety, Quality, and Manufacturing practices.
Skills and Competencies
  • Business acumen and knowledge.
  • Cost accounting, budgeting, financial justification, ROI.
  • Strong communication: listening, 1:1, group presentation, persuasiveness, debate/sell ideas.
  • Energy to motivate associates at all levels.

  • Culture of continuous improvement.
Manufacturing Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes/IT systems.

  • Strong supply chain knowledge.
Salary Information

Pay is based on work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, and more. Profit sharing is paid quarterly and tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
