American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring Epic experience and at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience.

• Medical Surgical unit in a teaching hospital setting
• Patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, SBO, sepsis, stroke, DM, ortho, chest pain, and wounds
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Epic charting system used

• Active WI or compact RN license required in hand prior to start
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, central/PICC line management, blood product administration, and port access
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills preferred
• Experience in ortho/total joint replacement and surgical drain management preferred

• Care for Med/Surg patients with a wide range of diagnoses including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and orthopedic conditions
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
