Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a teaching hospital requiring EPIC charting experience and at least 1 year of experience

• Active WI or compact RN license in hand required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line management, and blood product administration
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Experience with wound care, wound vac, and isolation precautions

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a teaching hospital
• Patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, SBO, sepsis, stroke, DM, ortho, chest pain, and wounds
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Care for a diverse Med/Surg patient population with varying acuity levels
• Navy blue scrubs required

• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler and must take a 6-month break before returning
