Overview
The Solairus Aviation Maintenance Supervisor will conduct or lead all aspects of maintenance performed on assigned aircraft, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures regarding airworthiness standards. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, routine maintenance tracking, long-term planning, scheduling and completion of maintenance events, and financial responsibility for costs incurred related to maintenance operations. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance and/or the Client Aviation Manager (CAM).
EssentialResponsibilities/Duties
- Maintain a valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
- Lead all maintenance activities of assigned aircraft, implementing the maintenance standards, methods, and procedures established by Solairus Aviation to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s recommendations, and company policies.
- Coordinate maintenance training requirements with the DOM and/or CAM.
- Develop and manage a budget outlining and projecting financial expenses related to aircraft maintenance, including parts, labor, tooling, equipment, and facilities.
- Supervise and approve expenditures related to assigned aircraft.
- Participate in the Safety Management System and assume duties delegated by the DOM, Manager of Maintenance Operations, and CAM.
- Supervise aircraft maintenance personnel (both company employees and non-company personnel), including aircraft interior and exterior cleaning, ensuring quality and completeness of maintenance performed under the authority of the Director of Maintenance.
- Coordinate with all non-company personnel or Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs) performing maintenance on company aircraft, including vendor evaluations for outside maintenance.
- Ensure accurate records of inspections, repairs, component changes, flight hours, engine times, AD notes, service letters, and FAA maintenance instructions are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins affecting company aircraft.
- Remove unsafe aircraft from service and ensure airworthiness before returning aircraft to service.
- Maintain operational readiness of aircraft with minimal scheduling impact.
- Serve as liaison between the company and the FAA regarding maintenance policies.
- Maintain certification and technical recency requirements per 14 CFR 65.83.
- Perform internal audits of tool calibration and material control to ensure availability of tools, parts, materials, and facilities for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Must hold a valid A&P Certificate.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Corporate Aircraft Maintenance Operations.
- Knowledge of CFRs and aircraft maintenance standards.
- Proficiency in planning, implementing, and directing maintenance programs and control systems for aircraft.
- Highly motivated, committed to safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
- Maintain fitness for duty and abstain from drug and alcohol abuse.
- Recent experience in Falcon 2000S (within the past 24 months, for at least 6 months).
- Willing to relocate or be located within 1 hour of KDLL.

Salary ranges are based on market conditions and can vary from $50,000 to $500,000, depending on geographic area, experience, aircraft type, duties, training, and account assignment.
