Role Overview :

- The Counsellor will play a role involving professional counselling for students in Psychology. The position requires strong clinical sensitivity, academic competence, and the ability to engage with students in a structured, ethical, and supportive manner within an institutional framework.

Key Responsibilities:

- Counselling Responsibilities

- Provide professional student counselling services addressing academic, emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial concerns
- Conduct individual and group counselling sessions in line with ethical and institutional guidelines
- Identify students requiring specialized intervention and coordinate referrals where necessary
- Maintain confidentiality, documentation, and counselling records as per professional norms

Educational

Qualifications:

- - MPhil in Psychology (mandatory)
- Valid counselling licensee will be an added advantage

Experience Requirements:

- - Prior experience in student counselling, clinical practice, or institutional counselling setups preferred
- Teaching experience in higher education institutions will be an advantage
- Exposure to academic mentoring, student support systems, or psychological assessment is desirable
