Behavioral Therapist - Chemical Dependency IOP

Program:
Behavioral Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). 40 hrs/week – Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; one day per week 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Location:
Summa Health System – Barberton Campus.
Under general supervision, provides individual and group psychiatric diagnostic assessments and referral services for the Behavioral Health Intensive Outpatient Program. Works as part of a clinical treatment team that includes the medical and administrative directors of outpatient services. Participates in policy and program development, marketing, data collection, peer review, supervision and training of personnel, students and volunteers.
Minimum Qualifications- Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field and currently licensed as an LISW, LPCC, IMFT, LICDC, or equivalent combination of education, experience and licensure.
- Masters degree in counseling or social work with current Ohio license (LPC, LSW, PCC) considered if independent licensure can be obtained within one year of hire.
- Minimum of three years behavioral health clinical experience.
- Two years’ experience providing intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization clinical care preferred.
- Must have or attain within one year nonviolent crisis intervention certification and maintain it thereafter.
- Must have or attain BLS-C certification and maintain it thereafter.
- Knowledge and experience using DSM‑V and cognitive/behavior group therapy skills.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with diagnosis and treatment of mental health, substance use disorders and dual diagnosis treatment issues.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EPIC) and concurrent documentation preferred.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Ability to understand and carry out Summa’s vision of patient care: creating a patient care environment focused on treatment needs and experiences.
- Ability to be self‑directed in executing responsibilities within a team structure.
- Ability to take initiative to contribute beyond the scope of formal duties.

- Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other health care professionals.
- Ability to communicate with patients, families, visitors and community representatives to help achieve health care goals.

Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers who value self‑respect and dignity, adhering continuously to the ethical standards of the profession.
Level of Physical Demands- Sedentary work; may exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently.

Salary: $30.91/hr – $46.36/hr (base salary exclusive of bonuses or differentials). Salary determined by experience and geographic location; pay equity is considered.
