Full-time, 40 hours

Handles hospital supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels and organization of supplies in a timely manner: receives, distributes, maintains inventory, transports supplies, reviews and makes recommendation on par levels based on areas of responsibility, tracks supplies and deliveries, delivers shipments, and prepares paperwork.

• High school level coursework in English grammar and basic mathematics

• Expected to complete a basic training program that provides knowledge of hospital supplies and related medical terminology.
• Ability to read and write English, follow written and oral instruction, and perform basic mathematical functions

• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with managers and staff in user areas (e.g., nursing staff, secretaries, nursing assistant, etc.) and Material Management.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems without direct supervision.
• Ability to operate a handheld computer for inventory purposes.
• Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with customers (i.e., assigned nursing unit personnel).
• Ability to maintain customer focus in all work activities.
• Must be able to work various shifts.
• Assumes accountability for demonstrating behaviors consistent with the customer service policy.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; lifting, pushing, or carrying medium to heavy weight stock items.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
