As the Production Planner
, you will be responsible for production planning using all available scheduling tools and resources to most efficiently utilize multiple plant resources at the Barberton, OH and Monroeville, PA locations. The Production Planner will coordinate the release of orders and rescheduling based on resources and inventory to increase short- and long-range production plans.

You will be onsite at PPG's Monroeville, PA plant

• Schedule shop orders based on customer demand and internal capacity.
• Release orders based on material availability, production availability and customer requirements.
• Interface with Production/Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Program Managers and Engineering to align, build strategy and assure tactical execution.
• Resolve problems/conflicts that may prevent achieving customer requested delivery dates.
• Assure all aspects of shop orders are planned completely and orders are released to the floor.
• Support the master schedule with the sizing and scheduling of new orders.
• Review scheduling and re-scheduling requests for existing orders. Analyze bill of material and production requirements to determine PPG's ability to achieve the requested delivery date.

• Associate's degree in supply chain, Business Management, Accounting, operations OR a High School diploma with 5+ years of experience in a production environment involving material planning, production planning and master scheduling.
• Experience in a production environment involving material planning, production planning and/or master scheduling, and analysis with an MRP based system.
• Project management and root cause/CAPA experience.
