Lab Technician

As a Lab Technician
, you will support the entire 24/7/365 production shift, operating GC, HPLC, and IC equipment as well as performing wet tests such as moisture, pH, density, and others.

You will work in the Optical Monomer Laboratory located within the Optical Monomer production facility in Barberton, OH, and report directly to the Lab Supervisor. • Run samples independently and report results to production.
• Troubleshoot equipment, change gas cylinders, prepare solutions, and lift boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Identify and utilize internal or external resources as needed.
• Follow established procedures and guidelines to perform routine laboratory procedures, testing the quality of in‑process products, finished products, and environmental by‑products.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis, record results, calculate data, and communicate findings.
• Follow checklists to set up equipment, mix chemical solutions, and address troubleshooting issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment.

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of educational or professional laboratory experience.
• Experience with GC, HPLC, and IC chromatography instrumentation preferred.
