Location: Barberton Campus, Ohio
Unit: 4 South (4S) – 24-bed Mixed Acuity PCU/Telemetry
Assignment Dates: 02/01/2026 – 03/21/2026

Unit Overview
This is a 24-bed progressive care/telemetry unit providing care to primarily medical patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. Patient population may include progressive care-level patients with cardiovascular conditions requiring medication drips, as well as neurological patients requiring frequent NIH assessments. COVID and other isolation patients may be present.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to PCU/Telemetry patients
- Monitor telemetry and manage cardiac rhythms
- Administer IV medications and continuous drips
- Perform frequent neurological assessments (NIH)
- Care for mixed-acuity medical and progressive care patients
- Float to similar units as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2+ years of PCU/Telemetry experience
- Epic EMR experience within the last year (must be listed on resume)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
- Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE only)
- Strong telemetry and cardiovascular care background
Scheduling & RTO Policy
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5–6
- RTO must be submitted at time of submission
- Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks
- No block scheduling requests accepted
