- This is a 34-bed cardiac PCU/Tele stroke overflow unit Summa Health – headquartered in Akron, Ohio – is one of the largest integrated healthcare delivery systems in the state. Formed in 1989 with the merger of Akron City and St. Thomas Hospitals, our nonprofit system has 8,000+ employees; nearly 1,000 credentialed physicians; and buildings and facilities totaling more than 3 million square feet across all our campuses.
Summa Health System – Barberton Campus is located approximately 10 miles southwest of Akron, Ohio. The Barberton hospital serves Barberton, Wadsworth, Norton, Green, Akron as well as Stark and Wayne Counties.
