Operations Manager
Site Leader reporting to the U.S. General Manager of this well‑established international company at a start‑up location near Bardstown, KY. The role is responsible for the compliant and efficient operation of the new plant, P&L management, budget creation and monitoring, KPI establishment, data collation, corrective actions, and liaison with third parties. The candidate will lead a direct and indirect report structure, participate in the on‑call escalation process for the site(s) within the group business, and will travel overseas to a site in Great Britain for 1‑2 months of training.

Key Skills- Operational knowledge and experience within a production or manufacturing sector, ideally within or related to the renewable energy sector.
- Direct experience of defining, implementing, and controlling operations strategy, objectives and budgets.
- Full responsibility for the P&L account of a similarly sized business.
- Strong SHEQ compliance skills and a culture of safe working.
- Leadership skills – management of a team of 10+ people, recognising excellence and managing poor performance.

Essential: At least 10 years of experience within a related operation, 5 years minimum with at least 3 years leading teams of 10+ people in a modern dynamic manufacturing business, experience with third‑party governing authorities (SEPA, HSE, etc.), operational of an engineering maintenance function, leadership and soft skills training, financial management training.
Preferred: Experience in anaerobic digestion or a closely related operation, knowledge of malt distillation processes, leadership of cross‑function team leaders, experience setting up a new site and/or commissioning activities, auditing experience, certificate/management safety qualifications, lean or similar process training, 5S experience, EHS experience at a PSM site, chemical P & , good mechanical aptitude, statistical data analysis, PLC controls, knowledge of farming.
QualificationsEssential: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from a respected university, reliable transportation, openness to smaller community living, Green Card or U.S. citizenship.
