Machine Operator – Packaging Industry

A packaging manufacturer near the Bardstown, KY area is looking for a Machine Operator responsible for the setup and operation of automated bagging machines. The ideal candidate will have related experience within the packaging manufacturing industry.

Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Benefits: This is a full‑time position with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid holidays, and vacation. Must be able to work on‑site.

• Monitor production schedule (confirm correct bags, labeling and materials)
• Confirm details of job orders (specifications and amounts)
• Start machines – confirm smooth operation – adjust parts if needed
• Monitor machine parts (report issues to supervisor)
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and other equipment using hand tools
• Conduct production & shift reports

• High school diploma or equivalent (certification or associates/technical degree preferred)
• Must have packaging industry experience
• Experience operating automated bagging machines is preferred
• Knowledge of cGMP (current good manufacturing practices)
• Confident with computer skills
• Ability to work well in a multi‑cultural environment
• Able to intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch & lift up to 30 pounds
