Overview
Retail Scan Associate (Bardstown, KY 40004) scans product barcodes in stores to collect data that is analyzed to improve sales performance for products and retailers. This role involves visiting a designated selection of stores each week, scanning all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps, and contributing to client data reports.

What does a Retail Scan Associate do?We are hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to perform in-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Our store types include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores. We work with major brand retailers like Walmart, Kroger, Target, Albertsons, and other national chains, as well as small independent retailers.
Retail Scan Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phones to scan barcodes in multiple locations throughout each store.
This position typically requires approximately 2 hours per week for all stores combined, depending on store size and project requirements. During weekly scanning, you will be asked to provide the quantity for about 45% of the products scanned.
Weekly work includes Display Scanning across the entire store, which occurs every week and can take several hours. Additional work, called Custom Projects, may occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store in those weeks.

Qualifications- At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
- Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
- Must be tech savvy.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
