Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a fast-paced environment, where technology innovations, customer needs, and the Retail experience are continually evolving. They immerse themselves in meaningful connections with customers, focusing on building new and deepening existing relationships.

They aim to uncover customer needs and educate, demonstrate, and recommend device and service solutions. This role is a learning role, where new associates work with their team to proactively build skills and proficiencies in preparation for the next level as a Mobile Expert. As a Mobile Associate, you will be required to successfully complete new employee training.

Job Responsibilities
  • Build proficiency related to serving and selling to customers while delivering a world-class customer experience and building loyalty by: helping customers pick up where they left off in their shopping journey (online, via Customer Care, or in-store); exploring individual needs and providing hands-on demonstrations of technology; side-by-side selling to identify personalized solutions beyond the basic device and service plan; approaching service and sales needs with composure, integrity, and compassion.
  • Become skilled with and consistently use digital tools in interactions and onboarding to demonstrate: how our coverage stacks up in the customer’s neighborhood, the LTE network; why T-Mobile plans and services enable customers to live unlimited, stay connected, and go further; completing training on in-store experience, new skills, processes, systems, and resources; making the most of time on shift by learning about wireless innovations.
  • Establish relationships with T-Mobile employees across channels to collectively own the customer experience and resolve issues; identify and hand off small business leads; support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
Education
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
Work Experience
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail environment preferred (Required)

  • Competitive drive and proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)

Compensation

Hourly Base Pay: $17.50, plus $5.00 per hour training pay. Within the first 90 days of employment, on-the-job training is provided and eligible for hourly training pay. After promotion to Mobile Expert, annual incentive targets may be earned (target $18,000/year, varies by performance and full-time status). All employees are guaranteed to earn $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives. All employees are eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
