- Hands‑on trades background as a welder/fitter with direct experience welding door sheets (manways/access openings) and constructing tank roofs.
- Strong working knowledge of API 650 tank design and construction practices, welding codes (ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1), and related standards for fuel storage systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑craft crews, manage subcontractors, and drive schedule and quality performance in a field construction environment.
- Solid understanding of tank erection sequences, roof framing/plating methods, floating roof components (if applicable), and mechanical installation of nozzles, manways, and appurtenances.
- Competent in reading and interpreting structural, mechanical, and piping drawings.
- Strong safety leadership skills and familiarity with OSHA construction standards and site‑specific safety programs.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to work on active construction sites, including elevated work and varying weather conditions.
- Prior experience specifically on aviation fuel (Jet‑A / Jet fuel) tank farms or related terminal projects.
- Welding certifications (e.g., SMAW, FCAW, GMAW) and documented experience with tank shell and roof welding.
- Experience with floating roof tanks, aluminum geodesic domes, or internal floating…
