Person Specification Essential

• Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural, SEMH, or SEND needs.

• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.

• Ability to build positive relationships with challenging or vulnerable pupils.

• Resilience, patience, and a calm, reflective approach.

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.

• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and professional boundaries.

• Experience in a PRU, alternative provision, or specialist SEND setting.

• Training in Team Teach, MAPA, or other behaviour intervention methods.

• Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice, restorative approaches, or therapeutic strategies.

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 TA, Youth Work, Psychology, Counselling).
