Are you a Welsh Language Medium (WLM) Primary Teacher looking for a new long‑term opportunity from January 2026? If so, then I could have an ideal role for you based near Bargoed, in Caerphilly County Borough Council.
About the SchoolThis wonderful small WLM Primary school caters for just over 200 pupils from the age of 3 – 11 year olds, across 7 different classes. This includes a small nursery setting.
The school places a strong emphasis on establishing a caring and inclusive learning community that promotes the Welsh language and pupils’ Welshness successfully. All staff commit to supporting vulnerable pupils and promoting the importance of good behaviour, courtesy and respect. As a result, most pupils enjoy going to school, feel safe there and treat each other, staff and visitors with respect.
PositionDetails
Due to a long‑term sickness, the school is looking for a Primary teacher to cover a year KS1 mixed class, from January and likely until the end of the academic year July 2026. The role is full‑time, but the school will consider a job share and so if you are looking for part‑time teaching only, please still apply.
The pay will be £172.98 per day for the first 12 weeks, and then you will be paid to your teaching pay‑scale position after that for the remainder of the booking. Pay will be weekly every Friday, paid straight into your bank account with no messy timesheets!
RequirementsIf you are a Primary teacher with QTS and can teach in the medium of Welsh, then we would like to hear from you!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
