Primary School Teaching Assistant
Long term Role | Full Time 8.30am - 3.30pm term time

Are you a patient, resilient, and caring individual with a passion for supporting children who need a little extra help to thrive?

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with children and also in small groups dependent on the needs of the class each day.

This role is ideal for someone experienced and confident in supporting children with SEN, SEMH, behavioral needs, and Autism, who is committed to building strong, consistent relationships and making a real difference.

About the Role

Provide individual 1:1 support and group support
Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement with learning
Implement strategies to support SEN, SEMH and Autism-related needs
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school team
Help create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Support both academic progress and social development
⏰ Hours & Contract

Monday to Friday
Full-time school hours 8.30-3.30

Has experience supporting children with SEMH, behavioural needs, and/or Autism
Is calm, patient, and consistent in their approach
Can build positive, trusting relationships
Is resilient and confident managing challenging behaviour
Works well as part of a team and follows behaviour support plans
