Management Accountant

Location: Longbridge

A well-established South Birmingham based organisation is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their Central Finance team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant with strong month-end and balance sheet experience who is looking to step into a broader, more commercially focused Management Accountant role.

The main purpose of this Management Accountant position will be to take ownership of VAT and PSA reporting, intercompany accounting and pension-related costs, while managing key balance sheet areas and driving process improvements. This Management Accountant role offers real responsibility, stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to develop within a structured and supportive finance function that welcomes development.

Ideally you will;

* Be part-qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with approximately 2 years of experience in a similar role – either as a strong Assistant Management Accountant or as a Management Accountant.

* Be actively studying and committed to completing your qualification

* Have strong month-end experience including accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliation, control accounts and variance analysis

* Have experience with working with intercompany or cost centre capacity – nice to have not requisite
