What you will do:

• Carry out core assessments, pre-birth assessments, and risk assessments to ensure children's safety and welfare
• Conduct Section 47 child protection investigations and implement necessary interventions
• Write detailed statements for court and represent the authority effectively
• Complete Section 7 and 37 reports for court proceedings
• Undertake home visits to monitor safety and provide ongoing support for families
• Keep up-to-date with case recordings and thoroughly document all interactions
• Convene and chair core group meetings, fostering collaboration with other professionals
• Engage in joint investigations and interviews with police to ensure cohesive child protection efforts
• Initiate and oversee care proceedings, playing a pivotal role in the care planning process
• Supervise contact, write reports for case conferences, and attend strategy meetings
• Develop and review comprehensive Child in Need plans
