Class 2 night driver

Location: Dagenham

M4 Recruitment, a multi sector recruitment specialist are recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for a major fresh food delivery service based in Dagenham.

Nights: 1930 start (8-10 hour shifts) Day shifts may also be available but the main bulk will be nights.

Pay - £18.25 P/H

Overtime -£27 P/H

You will do an assessment on Monday, followed by 3 days induction (fully paid) and will then work on the Friday and Sunday night. After this period shifts will be offered on a first come first serve basis, and the more shifts accepted will mean more shifts offered in future.

After a few weeks of good performance drivers will be moved onto a temp to perm contract.

You’ll start with a thorough induction and learn all the necessary practical skills from vehicle checks and safety at work to what good looks like. Then you’ll go out on the road with a Training Support Driver, to learn your route and get ready to go it alone. As a Multi-drop driver, you’ll be picking stock from the back of your vehicle at each stop, which keeps your day interesting and breaks the driving up.

You will have 8-15 drops each day.

Requirements:

* Must be aged 18 or over

* A valid C2 or C Driving Licence (with a maximum of 6 points)

* Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC)

* Drivers Qualification Card (DQC)

* Valid Digital Tachograph Card

* Physically fit

* Must able to pass a drug and alcohol test
