Descriptions & requirements

In addition to the responsibilities outlined within the Band 4 BAS Family-Development-Visits-JD565, we are seeking an individual who is passionate about improving outcomes for prisoners and their families and who can drive forward the continued development of HMP/YOI Deerbolt's Family and Significant Others (FaSO) model.

The successful candidate will be expected to identify and develop innovative initiatives that strengthen family relationships, support meaningful contact, and contribute to reducing reoffending in line with the prison's Family and Significant Others Strategy.

This will include analysing the changing needs of our prisoner population, using feedback, data and consultation to shape future provision, working collaboratively with internal functions and external partner agencies, facilitating prisoner and visitor focus groups, and helping to develop new opportunities that promote family engagement, inclusion, and positive resettlement outcomes.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, creative, relationship-focused and committed to ensuring that family ties remain a key component of rehabilitation and reducing reoffending.

Staff joining MoJ from other civil service employers will transfer onto the new MoJ terms if they are already on 'modernised' terms in their current post or onto 'unmodernised' MoJ terms if they are on 'unmodernised' terms at their current post.

Details will be available if an offer is made.
