Gordon State College, Full-time, 10-month faculty position, start Fall 2026. Job SummaryThis position conducts undergraduate courses in Public Health. The lecturer will develop curriculum, deliver instruction, assess student performance, advise students, contribute to faculty service, and support the broader GSC community.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in Public Health.
- Plan and conduct classes to create a learning environment that helps students achieve educational outcomes.
- Administer and evaluate examinations and assignments based on academic performance.
- Advise students on curricula, course selection, graduation requirements, and career advice.
- Maintain office hours each week.
- Attend registration, graduation, and faculty meetings.
- Serve on faculty committees and student advisory functions.
- Support student activities as a club advisor or attend student functions.
- Contribute expertise to external organizations as community service.
- Demonstrate professional growth and development.
- Master’s degree in Public Health or at least 18 graduate semester hours in a qualifying field.
- Preferred:
PhD or EdD. - Previous higher‑education teaching experience.
- Formal training in online teaching.
- Strong written, verbal, analytic, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of public health and health sciences.
- Knowledge of college program requirements and classroom practices.
- Knowledge of teaching methodologies, assessment systems, and educational technology.
- Computer proficiency and job‑related software.
- Decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
