Job SummaryGordon State College is recruiting part‑time faculty to teach courses in Psychology, Human Services, Sociology, Social Work, and Political Science.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses and engage students in high‑quality delivery.
- Develop and update course materials and syllabus aligned with industry trends.
- Provide timely feedback, hold office hours, and offer academic guidance.
- Assess student performance through assignments, tests, projects, and other methods.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to academic initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and related documentation.
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Human Services, Sociology, Social Work, Political Science or related field, with 18 or more semester credit hours in that discipline.
- Two (2) years teaching experience in higher education.
- Doctorate degree (PhD, DBA) in teaching discipline.
- Three (3) – Five (5) years of professional experience in a Human Services related field, preferably in the industry relevant to the courses being taught.

- Knowledge of computers and job‑related software programs. Advance user of MS Office applications, such as Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Experience user of Zoom to set up meetings/sessions with students.
- Experience using Learning Management System (LMS), Blackboard, Canvas, Brightspace D2L, etc.
