Job SummaryThe Health & Wellness Student Assistant works with the GSC Well-Being Liaison (located in HR) to support wellness programming for the faculty and staff of GSC.
ResponsibilitiesIn collaboration with the Well-Being Liaison, the individual will assist with:
- Developing and administering wellness needs assessments for faculty & staff
- Developing wellness programming for faculty and staff based on the needs assessment
- Creating and administering tools to measure the success of wellness programming
- Coordinating resources with community vendors and facilitators.
- Developing techniques for connecting faculty and staff to these resources.
- Assisting with organizing and hosting the Fall Benefits Fair and Spring Wellness Fair
- Marketing wellness programming to increase faculty and staff participation.
- Hosting at least 4 wellness sessions.
- Current student at Gordon State College
- Successful completion of at least 6 credit hours.
- Successful completion of at least 12 credit hours.
- Pursing a degree in Health & Wellness, Health and Physical Education or a related health field
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills,
- Creative skills (for creating marketing materials and presentations);
- Good organizational skills;
- Attentive to details;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and EXCEL;
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently;
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting; and
- Ability to work in a dynamic, changing, and diverse environment.
